Hiatuses last two weeks, but please let us know if you need any more time. We're flexible.
Canon updates are handled ICly with characters falling asleep heavily for a day ... impaled on a stalagmite underneath the castle. When they awaken, they won't feel pain from this, but rather just a sense of urgency to get off of it.
OOCly, the process takes just a day and you can jump back into playing after that.
