» WHAT SORT OF GAME IS THIS?
Cosmic horror. Survival. A bit of a sex game also. It's geared towards the disabled and slower taggers, but anyone can join with an invite.
» WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'FOR THE DISABLED/SLOW TAGGERS'?
We're slowing things down as far as the IC:OOC day ratio, spacing out events to every other month, and not requiring a certain number of tags for activity. These are explained in detail below, but we believe that there's a place for most, and disabled/slower taggers should be able to have a game they can play in comfortably, too.
» WHAT'S THIS ABOUT A PERSONAL DOOM METER?
Think of it as your character's 'insanity' stat. The higher it gets, the more the environment has taken a toll on them, and the more they'll act out. You can play with this as you wish, within the loose guidelines, but just think general cosmic horror descents into madness. Hallucinations, delusions, inability to tell dream from reality, catatonia, mania, etc.!

There are multiple ways to lower your doom meter. Some of these methods have yet to be unlocked (as of game start, 11/30/22). What you can do now is: be around others in the coven, engage in sex acts, or sacrifice a certain thing at the altar every month. What you can sacrifice is blood or a body part or a memory.
» SEX ELEMENTS?
Fully optional, even if it's a way to lower your doom meter. There are other ways to do so, but smut is a good way to keep it down consistently.

Apparently the old inhabitants of Carcosa have seen the place fit to be their playground as much as a battlefield; toys and restraints are there, if you know where to look.
» HOW ARE APPS HANDLED?
Always open. Processed within three days of receipt. Post one OR two app(s), wait a week to post another.
» WHAT KIND OF CHARACTERS ARE APPLICABLE?
Any, really! Duplicates will not be allowed because of game caps, however, unless the characters are different enough.

Fandom OCs are okay too, as long as there are no ties to existing characters in game. The only exception to this is if they're two+ OCs from the same universe.
» HOW MANY CHARACTERS?
There aren't limits on this, because we don't want to stifle creativity. If you believe you can handle it, go for it.
» WHAT'S THE INVITE SYSTEM?
There will be a permanent invite page where players can post their contact info + who they're invited to the game. You need an invite to apply.
» EVENTS AND TEST DRIVE MEMES?
Will be run in alternating months, barring the game open/first month. November is game open, so December is first month. After that, events will run in January, March, etc., with TDMs in February, April, etc.

TDMs will be game canon.
» WHAT'S THE IC:OOC DAY RATIO?
We're playing this slow and loosely, but about 1 day IC:1 week OOC. Backdating is fine. We're all slow and we all have lives.
» PLOT AND WIN CONDITIONS?
There is a plot, but its meant to be more about characters exploring their new home and attempting to learn what happened and what continues to happen.

Win conditions aren't ally going to be a thing, though. While there is a plot to unfurl and monsters to kill, there aren't any planned endings.
» HEADCANONS?
We welcome them; trans and sexuality and neurodivergency headcanons are not only allowed, but encouraged.
» ARE POWERS NERFED?
No, but the environment and events might make powers act strangely, or not at all.
» INVENTORY?
Characters can bring up to four items. They don't need to be on their person at the time of arrival; they just have to be important to them.
» WHAT'S THIS ABOUT 'SOFT WORLDHOPPING'?
Another optional element is the otherworlds. There will be rifts in the fraying reality of Carcosa, and characters can go through these rifts into otherworlds, where they will face challenges and pain, but they also might get something useful out of it — be it information, supplies, or power.
» HOUSING?
Is wherever you can find a space to clean up and inhabit; it's not necessary to have a character room with another or a few others, but it's recommended IC for sanity reasons.
» COVEN MECHANICS?
The collective of the player characters is known as the Coven. They're linked to one another; this bond might be able to deepen one day, or maybe even sever. Being around one another keeps player characters a little more stable.
» ACTIVITY CHECK REQUIREMENTS?
Activity check will be on a permanent page, and open on the first five days of the month. We're not looking for wordcounts or amount of tags. Just let us know what your character has been up to, where they are in their doom meter, and new bonds they've forged, etc.
» CAPS?
None!
» DEATH?
Possible and likely. Dead characters wash up disoriented on the lake outside of the castle. They'll be disoriented and confused, and it gets worse as deaths are racked up. Characters might also feel very ... attached to the first covenmate they come across. In fact, it might seem like they're the same person. Which is to say that the first character a newly-revived character runs into might sort of 'mind meld' with them.

You can play this how you like, really.
» NETWORK?
Characters can find network devices in homes; they have to charge up at first and some of them might be glitchy or busted, but they work well enough. The Network can be accessed on the myriad of computers and tablets too.

Capabilities: video, audio, text, locking posts to certain characters or from them, anonymous posting.
